The rooms at Miyajima Hotel Makoto are just lovely! They have air conditioning, which was a lifesaver during the hot weather. The tatami flooring and futon bedding gave the room a cozy and traditional feel. Plus, having a private bathroom with a bath was a great convenience.
Personally, I found the toilets with an electronic bidet to be a bit tricky to use. But hey, that's just my opinion, and I know others might still appreciate this feature.

I keep coming back for a reason. At my first stay, the staff found my lost earring. This place suits me perfectly. Wi-Fi, free parking, luggage storage, 24-hour reception, welcome drink. Ideal for my romantic escape. No pets, air-con, no smoking.

The hotel is heaven for nature lovers wanting direct waterfront access. It's conveniently located close to the ferry on a small, beautiful island, which reduces room choices but adds charm and exclusivity. From the hotel windows, one can catch impressive views of the stunning Torii gate and the tranquil bay waters. Room services, including the traditional Japanese banquet, are exceptional, and the staff is friendly. The authentic Japanese-style rooms, with tatami mats and futons, take you back in time adding to the historic feel of the island.
Limited choices for food in the hotel, leading you to be organized when eating out.
